In DTH System, TV Channels are transmited by satelites fitted with high-power transponders, so it can be received by small dish antenna mounted on the rooftop or window of the subscriber's home into the STB (Set Top Box) via co-axial cable in totally digital form which dos not degrade the picture or sound quality.
DTH provides superior quality picture and stereo sound, compared to normal cable television which provides only analog signals and mono sound.

How many channels are available?
HomeTV will have over 40+ channels (80+ plus channels by the end of November) of service started. Most Nepali channels including NTV, Kantipur, plus the best of the best in Indian and International channels is showcased in the product launch. (some of the channels in the list are Sony Max, SAB, SONY, Star World, Star, Star News are just a few....) The channels will be packaged and priced accordingly.
Does it work in my part of the country?
HomeTV's satellite footprint covers all parts of Nepal, India, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, parts of China and more. So Nepal is fully covered by the HomeTV's Satellite footprint, so even if you are on top of the Mount Everest or at the lowest point in Terai, HomeTV service is available.
What about the pricing?
The starting price is Rs. 7600 plus VAT. Subscription starts at Rs. 226/- per month and up depending on what kind of plan, services, length of the subscription etc. Movie on demand will have different pricing according to movie showcased.
